Arturo Toro

B.S. Chemical Engineering | Johns Hopkins University

M.D. Candidate | Boston University School of Medicine

Arturo was born and raised in Miami before following his passion for chemistry and physics to study chemical engineering at Johns Hopkins University. He went on to pursue his M.D. degree at Boston University School of Medicine and he is currently in his final year. Arturo scored in the 99.9th percentile on the MCAT and obtained a 260+ on the USMLE boards. He is applying into Anesthesiology.

Throughout his journey, he’s had the privilege of tutoring numerous students in various subjects, from college-level chemistry to MCAT preparation and medical school exams. His commitment goes beyond exam preparation; he aims to share the wonders of the natural world and inspire his students. His background in chemical engineering uniquely equips him to simplify complex physics and chemistry concepts frequently tested on exams like the MCAT. His goal is to motivate and support his students in achieving their academic and career aspirations and serve as a mentor throughout the process.

Frances Rodriguez Lara

B.S. Biology, Minor in Chemistry | USF

M.D. Candidate | Boston University School of Medicine

Frances majored in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry at the University of South Florida. She was involved in extensive research and volunteering. She was fortunate to receive acceptance offers from several medical schools, and ultimately chose to study medicine at the esteemed Boston University School of Medicine where she is in her final year. She has several publications and presentations at national conferences. She’s a current applicant in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.

In addition to her own educational accomplishments, she’s had the privilege of preparing hundreds of students for the MCAT over 4+ years, witnessing many of them successfully gain admission to medical schools across the nation. With a passion for education and a dedication to helping aspiring medical professionals achieve their goals, she’s committed to inspiring and empowering students on their own educational journeys.
